Final Defendant In Trump’s Georgia Election Interference Case—Pastor Stephen Lee—Surrenders

Following

Topline

Pastor Stephen Lee, who is charged with intimidating an Atlanta election worker in former President Donald Trump’s Georgia election interference case in the state, surrendered Friday to Fulton County authorities—marking the last of the 19 defendants to turn themselves in before Friday’s noon deadline, a day after Trump was booked and released from the Fulton County Jail.

Key Facts

Donald Trump, who was charged with racketeering and 12 other charges, flew to Atlanta and turned himself in Thursday evening after agreeing to post a $200,000 bond—marking his fourth arrest this year, following federal charges in D.C. and Miami and state charges in New York.

Stephen Lee and publicist Trevian Kutti, who both posted $75,000 bonds, Georgia lawyer Robert Cheeley and former Trump campaign staffer Michael Roman, who both agreed to $50,000 bonds, and Georgia state Sen. Shawn Still and former Coffee County election worker Misty Hampton, who both agreed to a $10,000 signature bonds, all surrendered Friday.

Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark, who both agreed to $100,000 bonds, surrendered Thursday.

Harrison Floyd, the leader of Black Voices for Trump, also surrendered Thursday afternoon, but has yet to be released as he is the only defendant without a bond agreement, according to jail records.

Former Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani, who is charged with 13 counts in the case, and Sidney Powell, who is charged with seven counts, surrendered Wednesday afternoon and were released after posting $150,000 and $100,000 bonds, respectively.

Former Coffee County GOP Chair Cathy Latham, former Georgia State Sen. David Shafer, former Trump lawyer Kenneth Chesebro, former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis and Georgia lawyer Ray Smith also surrendered and were released Wednesday.

Bail bondsman Scott Hall was the first co-defendant to surrender Tuesday, followed by former Trump attorney John Eastman.

Mug shots of the defendants—including Trump—were made public after they were released by Fulton County Sheriff’s office.

Key Background

The Fulton County District Attorney’s office indicted Trump and 18 others last Monday on 41 total counts, including a racketeering charge for each defendant, accusing them of orchestrating a “criminal enterprise” designed to upend the 2020 presidential election results in the state. The indictment accuses Trump and his accomplices of pressuring public officials to violate their oaths office in order to aid their efforts, scheming to produce fake Electoral College certificates that falsely stated Trump won the state and accessing voting machines in Coffee County. The indictment is Trump’s fourth since the Manhattan District Attorney’s office first indicted him in March.
